Writer's Choice

The piece that I picked as my writer’s choice, was a discussion board post titled Uh-man-duh. This is a writing that I really like because I feel like it really shows people who I am. Other than the fact that it is literally all about me and my name, it is completely in my voice. I like to think that I am a generally funny and entertaining person and I like to try to make that come across in my writing. A line from that essay that illustrates what I mean is “I am rarely called Amanda anymore, unless it is said in just such a tone, I know you know that tone, and it is usually followed by my middle name.” Reading this essay gives people a glance into a conversation with me!
